The BFA Operator Bench is a curated group of experienced operators who step into founder-led and PE-backed businesses to stabilize operations, install cadence, and lead execution through transition and growth.
We work inside real companies, with real authority, under real pressure.

As a BFA Operator, you are not advising from the sidelines.
You are trusted to:
Take control of execution
Lead teams through change
Install accountability and cadence
Restore operational clarity
Reduce founder dependency
Deliver results that hold under pressure
You operate inside a repeatable system, alongside other seasoned operators, supported by a platform designed for post-acquisition environments.

You’re likely a fit if you have:

BFA is not a marketplace of random gigs.
Operators benefit from:
A consistent operating doctrine
Clear authority and decision rights
A shared cadence and language
Financial clarity and support
Other operators who know how to operate under pressure
Capital partners who expect discipline, not heroics
You are never thrown into chaos alone.
We intentionally keep this simple.
Short application (5–7 minutes)
Internal review for fit and readiness
Intro conversation if aligned
This is a mutual calibration — not a formal interview loop.
Not everyone who applies will be invited to continue.
That’s intentional.
Before applying, you should be aligned with the following:
This is hands-on operating work
Authority comes with accountability
Calm execution matters more than ego
Financial clarity is non-negotiable
Trust is built through results, not positioning
If that resonates, you’ll likely enjoy this work.
If you believe your background and operating style align, you’re welcome to apply.
We are building a bench of operators who want:
Real responsibility
Serious work
Long-term alignment
A platform that respects discipline and experience
If you’ve carried the weight before — and want to do it again, inside a stronger system — this may be a fit.
No single role definition applies. Operator involvement varies by engagement, phase, and role (Lead Operator, Operator, or Specialist). Expectations are clarified before any placement.
No. BFA operators are hands-on execution leaders. You are accountable for outcomes, not recommendations.
Operators are placed based on experience, availability, and the needs of a specific acquisition or portfolio company. Not all bench members are deployed immediately.
Yes. Authority, decision rights, and expectations are explicitly defined before engagement. Operators are not expected to “influence without power.”
Compensation is role-appropriate, engagement-specific, and aligned with responsibility and accountability. Details are discussed after mutual fit is established.
Both exist. Some operators engage for focused stabilization or implementation. Others stay involved longer as businesses scale or portfolios expand.
No. Many successful operators come from founder-led, military, or regulated service environments. What matters most is operating maturity, accountability, and calm execution under pressure.
Applications are reviewed manually. If there appears to be a strong fit, we’ll invite you to an introductory conversation to calibrate alignment and next steps.
